In addition to my previous cast, lower sugar / spice / alcohol intake also helps in my case I use whoop to measure 🙂

My go-to routine: Blue light blocker glasses, exercise, meditation, limiting caffeine after 12pm, cutting alcohol intake…. ….oh and popping a sleeping pill. Unisom for the win.

In addition to all these other great suggestions going to throw (washable) weighted eye mask into the mix. But truly.. best investment - almost acts as a signal to my body now that it’s sleepy time wherever/whenever.

P0s: - eye mask - ear plugs - phone far away from bed - no caffeine after noon P1s: - sleep on 8pod (this is a P0 but harder when traveling) - work out some point in the day to spend the extra energy (happens ~4/7 days) - ideally dinner at least two, ideally 3.5 hours, before

the # and variety of answers here is part of why I believe sleep is inevitably the next frontier of the health/wellness industry. beyond the quality of life reasoning, sleep's importance will only increase as we learn more about the brain — of which we still know very little.

Melatonin, warm shower before going to bed, good temperature (I read somewhere that 64 degrees Fahrenheit is optimal) in the room and fresh air is also important. A big factor for me is if the day was exhausting. In the military after a long march I could fall asleep in 1-2 min

This is what worked for me: Meditation, sport, todo lists to offload work, no coffee after 4pm, bed at 11pm. It’s hard!

i've found not eating and drinking only water for 2 hours before bed makes a massive difference and i can fall asleep almost instantly. i learned this by using an oura ring (an awesome way to understand your habits and improve your sleep)
