Did you know that seashells are the oldest kind of currency? I’ve been taking breaks from working on the newest kinds of currency to hike down to the beach and look for shells. I get a dopamine rush when I see a little sparkle in a tide pool. It feels primal, but also eerily similar to hunting for magic internet money on my computer, like despite millennia of evolution our brains are still pretty much the same. I’ve started airdropping abalone shells into my friends’ hands when I run into them at the post office. I might try to kickstart a new local seashell economy and trade with my neighbors for fresh milk and eggs. Wish me luck.

I have also been doing the “4B” thing for a while now without necessarily intending to. I live in the middle of nowhere, am generally happy and fulfilled, and am not inclined to put much effort into dating because most of the time it’s not that great of an experience. If my person is out there he will find me.
