How can DeFi be better than TradFi when Coinbase sends customers *objectively* untrue statements about their finances? Not even bad customer service - it is reprehensibly irresponsible and dangerous. "Your recent buy was declined, try again" = Your buy is on hold, pending, and will fill later today "Your withdrawal hold has cleared and your account balance has increased by X" = No change in account balance I'm now three customer chats deep, my account is locked, and I have to go manually identify myself (again) just so I can be told where my money is...? FWIW - CBW/Base team has always been great with feedback + escalation in their respective domains, this issue IMO is an institutional failure, which unfortunately predates the current team (e.g. Brian Armstrong has publicly addressed customer service failures + account lockouts on X multiple times over the years)

slowly working on a farcaster client brick by brick. no release date in sight 🙃 the amount of care and effort it takes to ship an app like warpcast mobile is no small feat. makes me appreciate all the work that went into it even more. you can build a social network app (that somewhat works) in a day if you want, but you’re not going to nail the basics — the most important and intuitive parts that make it sticky for people. consumer social app #7 for me and i still underestimate the complexity of a “simple” app.

For my personal use, crypto is in a great place. Fees, speeds, wallet UX, applications are perfectly fine for my usecases, and they'll keep getting better. However, I'd like to see some things significantly improved, in order of importance: - CRITICAL: Configurable withdrawal rate limiting in Safe & smart wallets and indeed, in all smart contracts, should be a standard. Without this, I significantly limit my usage of crypto - Custodial standards for smart wallets - Stage 2+ decentralisation for L2s, complete overhaul for Tron (normies receive USDT on Tron) - EUR stables w/ liquidity - Better frontends & standards - More competition & options for minimal hardware wallets - Range order management for Uniswap V4 - Significantly less volatile, reliable, long-term sustainable and high liquidity SoVs (BTC and ETH are far too erratic) - Integration into widely adopted payment networks, both global and domestic - Some inaccessible assets tokenised as RWAs - Farcaster with bustling non-crypto content/discussions
