attended some la tech week events. majority of talks themselves were not valuable. more valuable - talking to panelists, foudners sponsoring the event pre/post event appreciated la a bit more though yesterday. there's so much to this city i haven't seen. i need to better utilize it

trying to build solo and i saw myself lacking accountability. asked jesse specifically about what he thinks about founding solo/accountability. he told me it’s hard and to find a team kek i see the value. experimenting with different ways that doesn't need a team off the bat. starting here

feeling grateful that my first web3 irl event was /nounstown. the energy, community, vibes were so beautiful some highlights from yesterday: - making such cool friends @zi99ys - meeting based creators @bigshotklim - talking to knowledgable community members @nickd @anaroth @goyabean- (ty again for based noun goya!!) - @noun40’s take on nouns - hearing /kendama dao’s story from @0xsatori (and getting my first spike 🤌) - chatting w the goat @jessepollak. snapping a pic to capture where i’m at rn i’m not a stranger to uncomfortable environments, but i realized yesterday that i love being in them. but it’s special to have communities like /nouns that make them a bit easier

ty all for helping me get unmarked spam ❤️ re spam discussions, i’d like to share my exp as a “new user”. - i was blind sided being labeled spam. *if* merkle want to have new users essentially prove they’re not bots by casting “thoughtful replies” in initial casts, it should be more transparent in onboarding. increased friction but better ux/retention - also the wc exp is like twitter. short form, off the top stuff w deeper thoughts sprinkled. shitposts, memes, etc are common (and fun). another reason for transparency described^ - i’m hopeful that with channel changes, wc will empower the communities more - re communities, changes made to wc in my short time here seem more successful when prioritizing community. removal of autofollow, boosts are stale (ironic that boosted posts feel the most spammy on my feed) also, huge thanks to @mvr for the spam check frame. ok, let’s go build
