Back in college I helped a family friend figure out where to put airbnbs in Chicago. I did this by scraping the Uber api for where the drivers are, and used it as a proxy for where young people are in the city. These APIs that are under our noses have a lot of untapped value

What’s something you wish learned much earlier in your cryptography journey? For me it’s symmetric cyphers like AES and ChaCha. Looking back, I would’ve had a stronger foundation starting there than jumping into fancy elliptical curve stuff.

A random idea to get sports trophy’s as NFTs. Find the twitter profiles for Heisman winners. Deploy a smart contract wallet that’s unlocked by a zkTLS proof of twitter account. Airdrop really dope NFTs for each athlete. Set aside some % creator earnings for the NCAA. cc @linda

The property of verifiability is more fundamental than ZK, and applies to other cryptographic schemes. So I disagree with people who the future of crypto is ZK. The property of intrinsic verifiability is actually the future. ZK is just verifiability slapped on computation

I’m convinced crypto is still pre-PMF. I know it’s odd to use “PMF” to describe an entire industry. I still think it’s true though. My evidence for this is there are more protocols than products. Esp products that solve problems for people.

ZK is useless unless we have information endowed with the property of verifiability. We have great ZK tooling now, and prover markets fully ready. Yet we don’t really have a lot of verifiable data… yet
