wanna feel weird? zone 2 exercise has never been shown to improve anything in a controlled study better than going vegan in fact, going vegan having drastic health benefits has more solid research than zone 2 workouts, when compared side by side but yeah keep sweating that sweat and negating this by eating a steak

This is misleading. I don’t know about the vegan - zone two comparison, but I know vegan’s have weaker bones, less muscle, and are higher risk of deficiencies. Any exercise beats that. Any at all. Go for a walk; you’ve lowered your chance of dying a miserable death.

Wat?! Steak is literally one of the best foods for you. Most bioavailable form of protein, high in zinc, iron, B12 etc. Ethically I totally back going vegan, but from a nutritional point of view can be real hard long-term.

not here to argue for or against going vegan but, as a long distance runner, i can tell you that without a shadow of a doubt switching to heartrate / zone 2 training has made me a faster runner. 1st marathon was 3:58:00. currently running slower daily but on track to go sub 3:00:00 this summer

Been paleo-ish for fifteen years, hardcore carnivore for a few stints, the only veggies I've eaten in years are jalapenos and habaneros. Healthier and in better shape than all my peers. Not to mention I can't even want to think how much food 3000 cals of veggies would be πŸ™€

I doubt veganism gives you increased density of capillaries, aerobic enzymes, and mitochondria i.e. the performance-based reasons people do aerobic running. It also doesn't give you a daily dose of meditation and endorphins which are another reason we do it for our mental health.

Zone 2 running helped me to improve my recovery and have more energy during my workouts / jiu jitsu. I don’t know about vegan, but I’ve trained for more than 15 years, and for it is not bs.

weird to compare a zone 2 exercise (walking, jogging, swimming) to a type of diet. one is moving your body, breaking a sweat, and getting your blood flowing, while the other is what you eat. both have effects on your body in drastically different ways. doesn't make much sense
