didn't realize how much strength I'd lost after 4-5 months of heavy cardio until I returned to the gym last week. cardio and strength training feel like polar opposites.

A balance must be struck. The alpha and the omega. Yin and yang.

So true man. Never see any jacked distance athletes, or thin body builders. Personally found that 5-10k distances + heavy strength training are best for my personal fitness goals. What’re you aiming for with your fitness?

At least muscle memory means you’ll get your strength/size back faster than if you didn’t do any strength training at all.

I’ve found making sure I only get 30-60 seconds in between weightlifting sets helps to provide a good amount of cardio strain during weightlifting Doesn’t compare to running, biking, etc. but it’s a good boost especially for someone like me who hates cardio 😅
