Watching a panel at my alma mater on misinformation, this gent right here in front of me keeps bowing his head and shaking it in disbelief and bringing his hands together in his lap every time one of the panelists mentions something shocking about how misinformation has taken over parts of our society. Like he personally failed society somehow.

I started binging White Lotus at the same time I started binging Wheel of Time. I've made it to season 2 of both but now having trouble continuing with Wheel of Time.... Too repetitive even though White Lotus is formulaic and I know more or less what will occur at the end of season. Odd.

Horribly haunting reading this and being reminded of my Grandpa who retired in the late-1990's and almost immediately was diagnosed with prostrate cancer then shingles then prostate cancer again and again and again until he had to quit because there was nothing left to do after 20 years of battling and by the end he didn't even recognize me, his second oldest grandson and just wanted to pass. Sad reality of what's in store for many of our parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles in the coming years and in recent years.

Here's the thing, IMO it's pretty unethical action by @ted and friends to get her into the @cryptothegame finals via last minute, backchannel dealings. It's even more unethical for friends of Ted to then display Ted on their broadcast without saying that they saved her and portray her as if she did something amazing by surviving up to this point.

The next revolution won't be shown on TV (as we saw media tweak the narrative on Luigi) and it certainly won't be shown on Facebook or Twitter or TikTok or YouTube. Pretty much it'll be Farcaster and Reddit, along with Mastodon and Blue Sky and other forgotten socials.
