A hypothetical for you... Let's say I wanted to get ripped... What books, courses, podcasts, YouTubers, food/diets would you recommend?

Basically workout intensively with progressively heavier weights 6 days a week, eat your body weight in grams of protein, take creatine (5 grams/ day), drink lots of water, get lots of sleep. Avoid drinking. Eventually trim down. Good genetics help! This series has a lot of science stuff https://youtu.be/CyDLbrZK75U

step 1 drink no water. step 2 rub bronzing oil all over your body. step 3 step on stage. step 4 evaluate why you lost. step 5 start over. Do this continuously till ripped. No need for books.

lean gains for intermittent fasting & strong lifts for working out if you're really up for it, keto could be a game changer but it requires a lot of commitment because you have to go all the way with it avoid overdoing the content, there's only so much you can learn & you'll learn more in practice than theory anyways

Huberman has a great podcast on this. I’ve basically followed his routine since listening to it, even though he was just sharing what he does as an example. 3x a week, 1 day legs, 1 torso, and 1 arms shoulders and neck

Training = HST Hypertrophy-Specific Training (e.g., https://www.t-nation.com/training/hypertrophy-specific-training/) YouTubers = Virtuvian Physique is imo legit and easy to understand (https://www.youtube.com/@VitruvianPhysique)

The easiest way to get fit is to work out with a fit friend on a regular cadence and ask them to keep you accountable

I just picked up a new glucose and ketone monitor. I like using these for a couple reasons 1: to correlate body feelings with actual measured value 2: I’m super competitive with myself and future me always wants to beat past me’s numbers

I got abs from just sitting still and not working out purely from a calorie deficit of about 150 per day…not enough to have felt hungry but enough to add up over several weeks.

I switched to a protein dominant diet several months ago and it’s been hugely beneficial. 1g per pound of body weight daily. Lots of protein smoothies, chicken, beef, eggs. Plus lifting 3-5 days per week. That’s been biggest inflection point for me since I started fasting (only eat between ~12-7) years ago
