hot take: anon people with “hot takes” are the most beta of beta energy. sharing a strong POV takes a lot more courage when there is reputational, social, and financial capital on the line — and rarely is that ever the case when one is anon.

btw you're actually doing the very thing you're criticising: you're judging anons based on their (lack of) identity as "beta", whatever that means if the goal is merits discussion, the identity of the of the participants does not matter, and neither does their perceived alpha energy

imho there is a difference between "anon" and "pseudon." The former is fully anonymous, but the latter can be an online persona that does have social and financial skin in the game. An identity tied to an .eth address with meaningful onchain records does have something to lose.

anons have seen what happens to public people with based takes, the FBI kills ‘em. it seems like you missed the point, anon provides skip-protection of ad hominem bullshit, forcing people to focus on the idea of the take: if you’re still focused on the messenger you’re showing you’re not good at ideas

that this is framed as alpha vs beta is a really good example of why anonymity is vital to the success of any public commons

sometimes an anon has more reputation to lose than the "real" person.

🌶️- if you take a random person, based or not, and you impose the risk of loss of reputational, social, and financial capital... that's just a more coercible person that will agree with others. especially if they know that the consensus is wrong.

idk, anon posting can sometimes be more pure without being tainted with doxxed neurosis of image control and narcissism. yes anons have nothing to lose – but also nothing to gain. so to make a statement as such enables less performative filtering on the take. public figure hot take pandering is pretty beta (⌒_⌒;)
