fiction books should entertain you, not signal how smart you are for liking them.

Hyperion was mid. Foundation is a grind (I’m 40% through, too early to judge but not looking good). Three Body Problem was amazing. Dune is goated. I’m not familiar with Project Hail Mary, but I’m intrigued now about what part of our venn diagram it will land in

Hyperion has some of the most interesting technological, evolutionary, existential, and cosmic horror concepts, but I agree the storyline could be a lot better

Imagine naming your company on something from those bad sci-fi books.. it would be so pretentious... Glad no one did that...

Hyperion had some good bits but was a serious grind to finish! Loved red rising trilogy - have you read the others? Couldn't get in to them but need to revisit

Dark Forest is an absolute blast. Three Body definitely a snoozer although I think I would enjoy it more having read the series. Death’s end is good too. Ideas can be very fun!

3body was great but maybe a bit over hyped (maybe just for me tho.) Foundation? Delete this.

I liked all the Bad ones more than red rising personally. That series got very repetitive around book 3 for me

Hyperion is exceptional especially as a retelling of Canterbury Tales if that’s you’re thing (it’s most definitely mine)

Thank you. Three Body Problem was unreadably bad and I feel like I’m being endlessly gaslit by people who say it’s a masterpiece.
