A few years ago I started reading at least one history book for each world country, alphabetically I started with Afghanistan and got to the Bahamas; learned quite a bit and found very interesting books (like The Fatal Shore about Australia) I'm thinking that I should 1) continue 2) review these?

Reading books like these will kick your ass down Dunning-Kruger's Mount Stupid faster than anything else in the world Which is why you won't find me commenting often on current geopolitical affairs - I'm smack in the middle of the valley of despair It takes time to climb out of there

Another if you come to cast If you come to Korea, there are two I can recommend (but forgot their name) - A British guy hiking from South to North (until DMZ) in the 1980s or 90s - Journalists reporting about various incidents in S Korea 60-80s

Do you have any stand out favorites? I'd be interested in any country, but particularly in Spain, Argentina, India, and Nepal.
