Some good people on this app but the influencers in crypto are a waste of time

When people talk about threat to democracy or institutions, what they mean is threat to democrats or democratically run institutions. 

When democrats storm the White House or try to jail their political opponent or stage a coup on their own candidate, this is good for democracy because it serves the democrat party.

This is a sophomoric take 

Next time ask Balaji to criticize the government of Singapore and see what happens to him

If you're intellectually curious, you might consider reading JD Vance's memoir, Hillbilly Elegy.

It was highly lauded by the NYT and other elite media after Trump won in 2016 (and JD had yet to enter politics). 

I expect that to be memory-holed now. :)

And then evaluate how moneyed interests have shaped his entry into politics.

Sometimes, when things aren't going well, all that is needed is a small change. Any change. Not a change from desperation, but a change you can feel good about. Something fresh, to draw a line in the sand. To say enough is enough. To turn the page and start a fresh chapter. 

The market is down, and it might not rebound unless we do something about it. I can think of something. What if you changed your pfp to a color? What's the worst that can happen? Crypto continues to tank? Then you can change it back. Obviously then it wouldn't have worked. But maybe it will turn things around. Enough is enough. Show your colors.
