I luckily ran into my old first year RA and we chatted for about half an hour. In first year I was a dumb arrogant techbro and my RA really helped me come down to earth and become an adult. He connected me to the right people so that I got my first internship at a YC co back in 2017. Was lovely running into him and I will grab dinner with him soon and catch up ☺️

Today I was moving my mat around in yoga class and it made a fart sound 😔 and everyone probably thought I farted If I had I would obviously own it. But just the fact that the mat made the sound when it wasn’t me is embarrassing

I’m doing 2 weeks of solo traveling this January! Where should I go? I need it to be: - not too cold (above 0C) - walkable, I prefer cities - I love art and museums, so lots of those - GMT +2 or around that timezone

I made personalized videos (as holiday cards) for every candle club member subscribed for this quarter thanking them and expressing gratitude for their support 🙏 I have so many amazing members in the candle club. Took me almost the whole day to plan + film + send but doing things that don’t scale is important to my business. And expressing gratitude to the people who believe in you is important.

My neighbour has been fucking with my speakers by connecting to them, so my music is pausing or my phone is disconnecting I guess they knew which speakers it was because I had labeled them “Giant Speakers”, but not because of their size, because of my favourite jazz standard to listen on them, “Giant Steps”. So I relabeled the speakers to “HP OfficeJet Pro 8138e”. Hopefully they don’t figure it out 😝

I stopped by the store today again to take some measurements and the owner asked if I would like to do a candle making workshop in the evening. I said yes 😊 Benefits to being the second merchant in the store - the owner can’t pitch physical spots to merchants without being in the location. Since I’m the second in, she’s looking for ways to make more $$$ to subsidize her shop for the first 2 months of rent bc she’s still finding merchants. So there’s an incentive for her to make sure my candle making workshop is actually successful, otherwise she can’t pay her rent. That would be my guess. We’ll see how it goes.

Update: I’m in my first store!!! I HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION NOW 😁 I asked all the questions that everyone suggested and that helped me solidify the decision to put /humankind there. I was also able to negotiate a discount and post date the contract for when I bring in my physical inventory. Special thanks to @yes2crypto.eth for sponsoring my rent here! I’ll be working there every Saturday for the next three months (minus my vacay heehee).
