There is a famous early clip of Gates in which a TV presenter asks him if it's true he can jump over a chair from a standing position. He does it right there in the studio. I'm in the Gates childhood bedroom for something that feels like "a moment". The guy's nearly 70. But he's still game.

I wonder if the state of language recapitulates the history of cultural evolution. Maybe it is why ML is possible. Language itself is a trained model of reality so LLMs are a distillation of that learning 🤔 It’s a kind of “ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny” thing Argument is more obscure for image generation and recognition though. Maybe it’s all just distillation of evolution as the OG very slow training run of life.

if AI agents are this cycle, then the cycle hasn’t even started because all the current agents are shit. yes, that includes the ones you’re invested in right now. they are either toy kit versions of the real thing or they are glorified bots. crypto <> AI is in the BancorV1 / UniswapV1 era of DeFi.
