Even "code" is a "no-code/low-code" engineering goal. That's what "higher level" languages are...it's for the humans (🧠), not the machines (πŸ€–). β€œAny sufficiently complicated system eventually becomes an ad hoc, informally-specified, bug-ridden, slow implementation of half of Common LISP.”

Modern commuter ticketing systems (with no cash escape hatches) are kinda junk-ware compared to how i remember it used to be. β€œA cruder present for a richer past” β€” Kay

β€œZero code/low code is actually a bullshit engineering goal. What you want is zero/low configuration.” ↑ Coupled with intuitive state rollback (aka robust version control, with automatic conflict resolution) cc @yeoro.eth

Some of the streak numbers that started within a day of "streaks" being invented by @dwr.eth on FC/Warpcast are gonna become insanely valuable to the individuals involved. ("status seeking monkey" looks for any gambit! πŸ™‰πŸ™ŠπŸ™ˆ)

How "ruggable" are the Llama models with the new OSS licensing? Are these safe (as in "open commons" safe) to use? Or is this a likely to be a bate-n-switch move some way down the road? Or something in between or an entirely different consideration is more important? How would the smart folks with there heads deep in LLM land read the technical tea leaves on this one? I'm super encouraged that OSS is turning up as a resilient alternative to closed <Frontier> foundation models. Such good smells! But the "fool me once..." scar tissue memories re <Facebook→Meta> is hard to shake.
