I basically quit using hooks and did all data fetching on the server after tasting a codebase without hooks. loader and useLoaderData is prob the single most powerful demo for remix: - backend devs like it cause it’s still js, libraries work, no rsc - frontend gets way simpler with no loading, error, data states littered everywhere - all single file

We do our grants through Github because doing the 1099's ourself is a pain. - Take a list of fids and payment input onchain - Make payouts to fids and issue 1099s (use stripe connect payouts)

I've spent the last few months in deep conversation with the @coinbase listings team on how they can better support and lift up builders, whether it's on @base or any other chain (L1, L2, everywhere) There's a difference between what Coinbase wants to list, and what they're able to list, based on their status as a regulated exchange — but the team understands the lack of clarity and frustration and are committed to making the process better. I know it's slow and I'm frustrated too — but me and the team are going to keep working until its fixed. My grandpa has Alzheimer’s and lives full time with my parents. Luckily he’s very easy to take care of, docile, sweet. Just his memory is not as sharp. I take care of him sometimes when my parents can’t. Today I had a very lucid conversation with him. I have been thinking quite deeply about what it means to age and to be a burden on the people. I asked him if he prefers being at his house or with my parents. He says with my parents and me because we take care of him ☺️ then he called me a farty to break the tension of the serious convo 🤣 We talked about the places he’s travelled to, where he wants to go still. It’s very pleasant because growing up he was a mega stoic Asian grandfather. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile or laugh until he got Alzheimer’s and became more dependent on us. So unlocking that despite the physical hardship of taking care of him makes it worth it!
