im SO tired and still have a lifting in half an hour but when you’re surrounded by olympic champions and world record holders there’s a lot more motivation !! i just have to keep in my mind that if i get this work done there will be a olympic farcaster friday at la2028 and i want that so much 🤣

ok so this has never happened before i took a “nap” post training, my alarm didnt go off and now its 2am and i didn’t edit my zora vlog note to self - documenting my journey to the olympics whilst actually training for the olympics is hard will post it tomorrow instead!! 🫡

day in the life at a training camp 9:00 warm up and drills 10:00 triple jumps 11:00 sled pulls 11:30 sprints 12:00-15:00 break 15:00- 17:00 gym time to rest and edit my vlog which ill be posting on @zora later on!!

the warpcast leaderboard has me reflecting… it was interesting to see the different reactions to the warpcast leaderboard freezing on here for a few days below is a pic from the world championships where we have a live leaderboard throughout the competition! leaderboards in sports add a layer of strategy to athletes and it's crazyyy how it impacts performance some competitors use it as motivation to push harder, some use it to calculate what the bare minimum is they need to make the final 8, while others might let it distract or demotivate them long story short leaderboards and comparison can a good tool but having a strong *intrinsic* motivation is vital for long term and consistent success in whatever it may be!!

gm!! i had a great sleep last night and finally getting some movement in this gym has a mini indoor track🤯 i did a light workout of jogging, drills and then some foam rolling, core and stretching feeling prepared for tomorrow’s jump and lifting session!!

this day one year ago, i got a serious quad injury in training and had to miss the trip to south africa for surgery. feeling so happy to be all packed for tomorrow! also, first time using packing cubes what a gamechanger!! - sprint and jumps spikes ✅ - gluten free pasta ✅ - recovery boots ✅ - camera to vlog everything ✅ let's go!!

honestly i was so scared to host my fitness challenge i had some imposter syndrome as felt like it wasn’t “techy” enough i would have LOVED to have been able to create a v2 frame for the challenge and to automate dc’s and the leaderboard process but idk how and only thought of the challenge on the last day of november and didn’t have time to ask for help however i used grok ai to help me with calculating the scores each day i used keepthescore to host the leaderboard i used @paybot to send the payments through and ofc farcaster to host everything so even tho im not a dev shout out to all the devs who make it possible for a non techy person like me to seamlessly run a challenge like this! its awesome the tools that are available for us now but next time i think i will ask for some more help as it really was challenging🤣

supplement haul 🤪 i’m prepping for 3 weeks in south africa for training this friday! after my surgery in january, i researched vitamins and supplements to aid my recovery. while i always prioritize eating well, adding supplements, after consulting with my nutritionist, really helped. here's my stack: - collagen shot (20,000m) omg does wonders for my knees - iron to combat midday fatigue (im deficient) - cod liver oil for brain health (adhd) - vitamin d (not pictured here) for mood and if you haven’t noticed im black and live in england so rly lacking - magnesium + vitamin b complex for sleep and mood (i take at night w tart cherry juice ) - pea protein for post training if i can’t get food in time ( im gf and lactose free so pea it is) - electrolytes for hydration - vitamin c for immunity & for collagen and iron absorption - l-arginine & l-lysine for muscle recovery and MAYBE mood!? (this is new so i’m testing it out) shout out to @nicholas for the prompt
