Anyone else experience bruising from resistance training? After a “normal” workout, I developed bruising on my triceps underneath my arms. The internet is pretty light and inconsistent on data/information on the topic, and am a bit concerned. Vitamin deficiency, immunodeficiency, sprain, etc all possible.

I've had this before. Mainly when I started working out or after a very long period of time of not training. I didn't find it to be anything serious, but please take that with a grain of salt as it may not apply to your situation. Mine was painless, just visible discoloration.

Who took the pic???? I get this almost identically after doing hard yoga classes (crow poses, extensions)- I wouldn’t worry too much. They go away in a couple of days usually.

It's possible that they are contact bruises indeed, since you got them after working out at a new gym. That discreet difference in position can do that, especially if you bruise easily.

Has happened to me my whole life. Generally from workouts doing max weight/reps sets or from bjj sparring sessions where there's a lot of pushing/pulling against strong and erratic resistance. never caused any complications. brought up to my doc once during annual; said is fine as long as mild & heals normally
