Would you pay $1500 (+ monthly subscription fee if you want more than 50 recipes) for a robot that cooks dinner? Posha is betting YES Notably you still have to do mise en place for this thing to work, but supposedly if you do all the chopping Posha will do the rest https://www.posha.com/private-chef It’s not immediately clear to me how this works which is why I NEED one of you that lives in SF to arrange a Posha dinner for reporting purposes https://lu.ma/posha-demos

I want robots to do my chopping and dishes so that I can do the cooking, not for robots to do my cooking so that I can do the chopping and dishes. I hope we see more general purpose kitchen robotics, though. I want an arm in there, not a Juicero.

cooking is the fun part, the rest (which this bot doesn't do) is pain

At that point just deliver an already cooked meal at least there would be no mess or effort for a robot to “cook” while I prep the food and clean up after.

thermomix costs about the same, and it’s a cool machine but I don’t think it’s worth that amount of money. There are other machines on the robot that do the same things and don’t cost as much

If it does what it says it does I would definitely pay it I can understand all of the No answers but I really don’t enjoy cooking that much, and I don’t really mind doing dishes

I personally wouldn't because I like to cook BUT I know people who would love this thing (and could afford it) but only if it did the chopping too lol Feels dumb to do the most time consuming part yourself but have a robot cook it... 😑

No. I wouldn't. That´s a lot of money, that is probably not going to save me from cooking.

Thermomix has been doing this for decades. Super interested that Americans have now started funding the same thing. That usually means it’s ready for mass market adoption.

Betting NO Wouldn’t want to be involved in cooking at all so unless it carries, washes, cuts and dishes right after, with me not moving an inch, would consider.
