trading isn’t about being right so definitely agree with chase there. I’m in the same boat. that said, I think there is value in discussing assets from both a trading pov vs. a technical or merit-based pov. I might buy ADA or XRP because it will go up, but that won’t stop me from speaking about how batshit crazy it is to include them in a strategic reserve. if we have no discussion about the latter then this is all pointless because we aren’t actually working towards better systems and every asset is purely memetic.

I feel like bluesky, on its current trajectory, will continue to develop reddit’s mind rot and whine about the strategic reserve 24/7 rather than making money like everyone else

XRP: the ripple guys are the worst. their ICO was a total insider’s paradise, worth looking at the comically bad distribution. nobody (institutions or otherwise) uses the chain yet they constantly fleece retail on this fever dream of the entire world’s financial system running on XRP. ADA: another chain that is exceedingly good at getting retail to buy their coin. very, very few users and totally irrelevant by pretty much any measure. SOL: definitely the best of the three. real adoption, great metrics, lively dev community. as an asset imo it’s still too volatile for a reserve of this type, give it 5-10yr and let’s see.

even entertaining the idea of ADA and XRP in a strategic reserve is absolutely clownish and we all know it

imo metamask is best suited to power users who need reliability and safety over sleekness personally I direct new users to either rainbow or rabby, they’re a good fit imo

sincerely hope the MM team doesn’t give up their rigorous security practices (specifically re: dependencies) while pursuing this redesign. no other wallet comes close. also, lowkey their current UI/UX is fine. it always works reliably, which is more than I can say for most of the other options currently available.

I think this take is directionally correct but with many, many exceptions lol. hot takes are here, just not equally distributed. even I’ve posted plenty of takes on here that were not well-received, mostly about memecoins and speculation. I think the difference is that CT is a form of entertainment like a reality TV show, which is part of its appeal. I think it’s hilarious, but it’s also an information warzone full of psyops and outright hostility. conversely, purple app is much more earnest and thoughtful. casters are usually trying to post with intention and care. they also know that there are VCs, founders, and other professional people in higher density here than CT. so that might be where the slight linkedin energy creeps in.
