(since merkle hasn't done featured frames in ages, i'm taking over the responsibility) today's featured frame is: 🎉Framedl — wordle in a frame 🎉 • guess a 5-letter english word • start with any word and follow the hints: • 🟩 — correct letter, correct position • 🟨 — correct letter, wrong position • ⬜️ — incorrect letter Please spread the word to achieve effectiveness of a warpcast-wide app notification. https://framedl.xyz/app/v2

i think it's time we draw the line between having an uninteresting feed (root casts) and being an actual spammer many people here are very close to lurkers, only casting habitual stuff (yes, e.g. framedl*), but they engage in replies, thoughtfully and humanly having algo decide to not show their replies in notifs is just downright harmful for the network it's not how we should build cozy corners *—plus they cast within a channel, the purpose of which is partially that—to group content that may be uninteresting to those who aren't members or followers

🌶️ as far as i can tell, there are 3 types of smart people: 1) first-order smart—what most people imagine when you say someone is smart. they have good book knowledge, strong theoretical background, but blindness towards 2nd-order effects. they can't really recognize other 2 groups of smart people (or they think they're on their level). typically midwits 2) second-order smart—they may not posses as much book knowledge as the previous group, but they make it up with experience or brain capacity to see beyond the theory. you can't recognize them based on their social status. could be a top lawyer, a gang member, or your grandma 3) gigabrains—nobody, not even themselves can tell them apart from absolute dimwits. to successfully identify these people, you've got to go beyond reason and rely on your gut. they know when and where hurricanes happen after seeing a butterfly flap its wings on their sporadic walk to get cheap ramen. usually look as if they've just been sacked from their own metal band

short story time👇 dan asked me recently: "hey, ds8, you seem to have a good grasp on what makes users human. what's your take on verifications?" and i told him the truth: "it's actually quite simple. a week-long /framedl streak is a better proof of a good human than a twitter/x account or a phone number" he looked at me, trying hard to conceal a smile, but his eyes (and uncomfortably shiny hair) gave him away—i should've realized he knew the answer before i even opened my mouth we shook hands then and there and that's how the latest verification partnership came to be: 📣 get a 7-day framedl streak framedl and double your verification score 🎉 lfg! 🟩🟨⬜️ https://framedl.xyz/app/v2
