Sometimes we get frustrated with each other, but I am grateful for this little monster. She forces me out of the addictive comfort of my bed and into nature to touch grass. Today we took a 2.5 hour walk in sunshine and perfect weather. It’s not a perfect antidote when feeling down, but it sure does help a significant amount. Audiobook I’m currently listening to: The Mountain is You by Brianna Wiest

someone build a mini-app to do this and ability to filter casts and share all together in a roundup. - filter between certain dates and times to share the culmination of casts that go all together - ability to exclude particular casts that may have been random but don’t apply to the batch round up - filter by keyword so we could batch cast all our casts about *blank* from the past month - filter by all the posts we have posted in *channel* from the past month

Apparently there is a service that will get you a Polish driver’s license valid in Europe that would be valid to exchange for a Spanish one. The guy said for 1400€ they would register me in Poland, pass all the necessary exams in my name, and mail me a valid polish driving license. The US and Europe don’t have an agreement to exchange driver’s license so to get a valid one here I would need to take all the theory and practical exams. That’s kind of annoying so I’d be kind of tempted if I had that type of money (which I don’t 😂) but also… is it a scam?

LOVING this podcast! thanks for recommendation @ifeoluwafavour. It’s not that I hated history but I hated how it was taught out of textbooks and so not relatable and boring. I actually find history so interesting when it’s told as stories from a human perspective. I’m listening to part 2 of the Marie Antoinette episode and love how they tell her story. Her story is a cautionary tale about bad PR. Lesson: if you’re famous, being able to control the narrative is power and when you can’t do that, it might turn out so well for you…

I didn’t notice it until I was trying to understand what Cannelle was investigating… Then I saw the smallest tiny baby toad I’ve ever witnessed in my life. (Or maybe a frog? Can anyone confirm?) Cute but gross! Strange feeling bc it borderlines on cute but at the same time amphibians give me strong visceral disgust. Then I noticed a bunch of them crawling on the sidewalk. 😬 If I hadn’t already dreaded the humidity and insects that have taken form with the unusually heavy rains this year here. 😫 Also, if you didn’t know, toads are poisonous to cats and dogs if licked or ingested! Cannelle had no interest in eating it, just wanted to smell it out of curiosity. But now you know, if you didn’t already, to be cautious of toads. 😖

🥹😭😍 YOU GUYS, FARCASTER FAM IS OFFICIALLY GOAT! We made it to the goal! Cannelle will be able to have her surgery to get spayed. We’re so appreciative I don’t have more words right now! I want to give everyone a big hug and to everyone who contributed a big slobbery kiss from Cannelle and I’m sure Bert would be happy to share some kisses too. 😘😘 I will surely make another gushy post when I have more time to think about words. But really this was such a lovely surprise before going to sleep. The first time I heard of North Koreans stealing remote jobs to bring in cash or steal data for their government was with what @keccers.eth posted yesterday and then today I came across Kraken’s blog on how they also red-flagged an applicant. Connection. Humans are usually always looking for connection. Through interaction. Through kind touch. Through shared moments. - for some, simple “how are you?” exchanges work to meet that need - for others sparking discussion about a common interest works better - some like to gossip - some like to joke - some like to debate - some like to exchange information But it’s about connection. Without connection, humans are lost. …And without internet connection, humans are also very lost. i need my google maps to get everywhere!

Sometimes I actually like the ai comments on linkedin more than some of actual human comments on there. The humans hate on the ai comments because they’re jealous the ai can sometimes actually make valid points. The humans don’t care if it was a valid point. They just hate bc it was ai written.

It really is insane! I thought it would cost about €150. I was shocked to have €500 quotes from different vets. And that’s the highly invasive traditional surgical method which takes around 10 days of recovery. The laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery that requires basically no recovery time is about €800!

Today I cried for over an hour triggered by the thought of the possibility of needing to give away my dog. It has crossed my mind, like I can’t take care of her properly, like I’m not a good dog mom, blaming her for things not her fault, blaming myself for the situation we’re in. Some days it seems impossible to handle her when I can hardly handle myself on my most difficult days. I’m crying as I write this bc today I really feel like I’m not in a situation to continue caring for Cannelle. I pay for health insurance for her and the cat (doesn’t cover spaying), but not myself. I’m self-sacrificing so much for them and it feels like I’m digging myself deeper into a hole I won’t be able to escape from. I don’t want giveaways, but I need to get her spayed at the end of May (per the vet’s recommendation). When I have the money, I want to return everything to everyone who has supported us. Thank you to everyone who has already supported. It means the world.
