The attention economy is a battle for our limited human RAM. Advertising (20th century) and attention (21st cent) were wars fought for our RAM As machines become further extensions of ourselves, we're going to see our RAM increase / demand for our RAM to increase further. Prob more levels too (L1, L2 cache etc)

Hopefully we'll be able to use our RAM more efficiently. Seems web2 platforms have been competing not just for our RAM but also for.. whatever is the computer equivalent of the limbic system.

One of the most important books I’ve ever read was β€œgetting things done” by David Allen and it is as close to downloading more RAM for your brain as you can get, imo.

I'm getting an external hardrive. Two actually. One I plug into nature. The other? 80 terabytes of ssd to free up space for the Russian doll of levels you imagine. Or something.

Nothing changes - before & after there is too much raw information for our attention. Therefore a sense of taste, style and life vector should be a top priority while leaving a wake of curation behind to make the journey for others easier

imho, we're going to see more ROM economy. if there is a viable economic class of active machines, they'll optimize away duplicative/dense information, and do as much with as little recombination/reinterpretation as necessary.

What’s kinda crazy is that the amount of energy our brains use 20watts hasn’t changed much. The most delicious pizza combination is figs, prosciutto and goat cheese as determined by the International Pizza Connoisseurs Association. But despite all the present day bombardment of info our brains keep humming. 😜
