Building a public good is a very different game from building a regular product, and it is something that we still don't have a good mental model for. For web3 products you can have a team, investors, early users who speculate on a return, etc. For a public good it's mostly uncertainty on all fronts - but it's worth it

The 2 main (non-technical) problems of social networks: signal-to-noise and discovery. Eventually AI may be able to solve the latter, but it can't get there with high quality curation markets. That's why we're building Impact App

So we decentralized the data, the social graph, and the clients/algos. Now all that's left is to decentralize the incentives and we'll have a winning system. Incentives > Data > Social Graph > Algos - that's the social media stack

Building a speculative system (in social media or otherwise) is really not that difficult. What's difficult is making the system align with the values and interests of the community (and not merely incentivizing engagement and using the community for self-enrichment)
