The attention economy is a battle for our limited human RAM. Advertising (20th century) and attention (21st cent) were wars fought for our RAM As machines become further extensions of ourselves, we're going to see our RAM increase / demand for our RAM to increase further. Prob more levels too (L1, L2 cache etc)

imho, we're going to see more ROM economy. if there is a viable economic class of active machines, they'll optimize away duplicative/dense information, and do as much with as little recombination/reinterpretation as necessary.
