Was genuinely fascinated at how fast padel has grown as a sport globally in recent years (along with pickleball in the states) bifurcating the racket sport genre with more variants. TIL: It was invented in the 1960s by a mexican businessman. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49wdo0GDwp8

For folks who have been agonizing over their internet coins slowly evaporating in value over the past few months, it's good to keep this chart in mind. TLDR: 12 - 18 months post-halving is when the rubber really hits the road

friday movie night. If you've seen and liked the talented Mr. Ripley, SaltBurn, or Get Out, this plays along a similar vein.

Rare air from 1998 for anyone interested in the minute details and jostling that's left out from typical highlight reels. Almost 2 hours worth of high def cinematic footage of the entire game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyJ6GyC4Yng

The largest cities are a fascinating lens through which to look at history. - In 1800, London was the largest city in the world with 1.1 million inhabitants. - Today greater Tokyo tops the list with 37 million inhabitants. - Similarly, in 1900, Europe and Northern America had 69 of the world's 100 largest cities. Today, Asia and Africa account for 73 of the world's 100 largest cities. Loads of factors behind this, but the numbers as a whole give a good sense of the shifting tides of globalization, tech, and policy. https://www.iied.org/worlds-100-largest-cities-1800-2020-beyond#:~:text=Tokyo%20is%20the%20largest%20with,list%20with%201.1%20million%20inhabitants.
