dune was good! added context to the movies without feeling like I was listening (I had it on audible) to the same exact thing over again.

Small things like these (Irish historical fiction based on mother home scandals from 40 years ago) The lying life of adults - fiction. Coming of age of an Italian teenager The Night circus - fantasy love story mixed with magic. Really good Requiem for a dream - book on which the movie is based on The Borderlines - Peter Høeg. My all time fav book (his most famous book is also great)

ooooh, here are some favorites: - betty by tiffany mcdaniel "a girl comes of age against the knife" -- it's so stunningly written, heart-wrenching and beautiful - the secret history by donna tartt - about a group of students who "long for the picturesque at all costs" (and it costs them dearly) - the pendergast series (a bit more light, fun-to-read fbi agent series), the first one is called "relic" - purple hibiscus by chimamanda ngozi adichie - she has such a beautiful writing style, her characters are wonderfully fleshed-out, and it's a beautiful story - blindness and / or the gospel according to jesus christ by jose saramago - both books are quite different, but he has such an interesting way with words i'd recommend either of them!

Do you like suspense / thrillers? Last year during 75 Hard, I got into David Baldacci (since you have to read every day) and his books are real page turners! Most of his series revolve around some form of detective work. The Memory Man series is my favorite. Characters and their relationship arcs are v wholesome :)

I listened to Shoe Dog by Phil Knight for the second time in 2024. Does that count? It's one of my favorite audiobooks and one of the greatest stories ever. You do not have to like business books, sports or Nike as a brand to appreciate it.

I pretty much haven’t read much this year to be honest, by I like to recommend modern “classics” of this century, as judged solely by me. Since Minnesota is having a moment, might as well recommend a MN author https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/227571.Peace_Like_a_River

11/22/63 by Stephen King! This book isn't a horror or creepy story. Imagine finding a portal to a specific day in 1958, and if you stay there for a couple of years, you can alter a historical event that will change the world… But the past doesn’t want to change and will try to stop you I felt like I had traveled back in time. And the book also vividly describes the different relationships between the characters

I did that once with AWS and the total spent was stunning. I wonder what percentage of revenue is just people getting charged blindly.
