hello has anyone figured out how to have gel nails while *not* destroying your nails in the removal process? signed, my ruined nails ps what is the point of builder gel if when you take it off it leaves your nails a weak, flimsy husk of their former selves

i would like to know too bc i got gel nails done for the first time around christmas and i didn’t get them removed for the longest time until i absolutely had to and i hated how they ruin the texture and the process of removal too. 😭 the thing scratching(?) against the nail doesn’t feel good. i was in sensory hell.

i wore gel polish for 7 years, my manicure specialist made perfect nails. when i decided to have my nails naked, she carefully removed everything with a machine and my nails were in perfect order. i think it's a question of finding a good professional who will do it right. but now i suffer that there are no such specialists in Rio.

i just got my nails removed to do better pottery and she basically left some gel on anyway i think im just going to full port into press-ons with @chipped
