hello has anyone figured out how to have gel nails while *not* destroying your nails in the removal process?

ps what is the point of builder gel if when you take it off it leaves your nails a weak, flimsy husk of their former selves

I got them done for a wedding and I love them. Kept it going for a few weeks and loved it. Got them taken off because I was about to travel and my nails HATED me for months. I don’t think I could ever be convinced to do it again! So beautiful. But so damaging.

literally every tech i've gone to i'm like "my nails are always destroyed after this pLEASE BE GENTLE"

i think i should just give up and recover lol
