hello has anyone figured out how to have gel nails while *not* destroying your nails in the removal process?

ps what is the point of builder gel if when you take it off it leaves your nails a weak, flimsy husk of their former selves

i would like to know too bc i got gel nails done for the first time around christmas and i didn’t get them removed for the longest time until i absolutely had to and i hated how they ruin the texture and the process of removal too. 😭 the thing scratching(?) against the nail doesn’t feel good. i was in sensory hell.

i hate everything about it lol i'm so scared they're going to grind off my skin or go through the nail!!
