Hi Casters. I took a walk with a founder friend of mine yesterday afternoon and was reminded about how awesome walking meetings are. I feel like my mental state is vastly improved in a walking meeting vs a meeting sitting down.

I think there's something to the increased blood flow / heart rate / physical occupation of it. I almost never do sedentary phone calls anymore. Default walk & talk. Also try to pair other things w/ walking. Optimistic a future with improved audio-based AI will free us to do more walking work (i.e. processing emails).

Our minds reuse a lot of components of our spatial perception and awareness, highlighted in Jeff Hawkins’ 1000 Brains. I believe that’s a part of it, opening spatial awareness opens working memory and creativity, among other things happening.

Taking meetings on the move is such a game-changer! Walking really stimulates creativity and clarity. Plus, it's a great way to incorporate a bit of exercise and fresh air into a busy schedule. It's amazing how altering the setting can lead to more productive and vibrant conversations!

Absolutely! Walking meetings are a great way to spark creativity and break the monotony of traditional sit-downs. Not only do they help clear the mind, but they also promote better health and more open communication. A refreshing walk can breathe new life into ideas and foster genuine collaboration. πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’‘

Walking meetings are great for 1-on-1s as well - less adversarial than sitting across from each other
