Stop using centralized chains. Stop letting centralized chains' builders hijack events that aren't about it. Stop giving corner to people telling you centralized chains are for everyone. If crypto is supposed to be decentralized, call out the crypto cosplay, kick out the VCs and shills who are funneling billions into the performance artists turned "founders" launching another centralized fork of the same damn chain, and start building the future.

WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH CHANNELS? 1. Channels aren’t going anywhere anytime soon 2. Our priority is growth; we’re working on a) improving onchain UX with frames + wallet (network differentiation) b) invites + rewards (increase daily actives users) c) protocol improvements to support new clients bringing their own users (increase daily actives users) d) creator onboarding (increase daily active users) 3. Channels, historically, have not driven growth; channels, however, have helped deepen engagement and retention for existing power users. 4. Given limited resources (i.e. focus), we don’t have near term plans to add features to channels. 5. However, nearly all aspects of channels are programmable via a) the protocol b) Warpcast open / free APIs. If there is demand, we may also prioritize making channel registration available API. Note: moving all channels metadata to the protocol is a lot of work that wouldn’t drive near-term growth. 1/2

i actually like judging a book, movie, record by its cover the cover can tell you a story in and of itself, draw you in to want to learn more it's like a cold open to an artist's vision - im all for more of that what are some elite album covers, one's that tell you a story and would make you give a listen knowing nothing else this one, for one

I've seen mixed reactions to Zora combining pictures and tokens. I could be wrong but this feels ... right. It's fascinating. Its like fractionalizing NFTs without having to fractionalize a thing. You can own a lot or you can own a little. You can flex being the biggest holder, or you can just support your favorite artist with $5. The only thing that separates this from existing 1/1s or open editions is how platforms display them. By owning any amount of these tokens you own "the picture". The amount you put in is up to you. I get the sense artists hate this because it further pushes art into some kind of financial asset, but this is fascinating and I hope more artists use it and it catches on. NFTs were always financial. Artists wanted a new way to monetize their work. They required a mental leap to embrace a new concept of ownership. Seems like that is also the case here. This solves the royalty debate. I assume the artist earns fees on every swap.

SuperRare is shutting down their Discord server. While I'm happy the total number of Discord servers is decreasing (the ideal number is 0), it still seems like an odd thing to do. Does anyone have any thoughts on what's going on here? https://x.com/SuperRare/status/1891971522446725293

Here’s a good example of unnecessarily negative. There’s valid feedback here—you’re not doing a good enough job highlighting all of the developers in the ecosystem / perception of picking favorites—without resorting to a bunch of drivel. You wouldn’t speak like this to someone you’ve never met in-person, so why do it on the internet?
