Study how Warpcast implemented the minimized mini app. It seems it's using Bottom Sheet instead of Bottom Sheet Modal to avoid auto unmount, then save the app metadata and render the component above the bottom tabs. That's really quick and beautiful design. @ashoat.eth 🫡 I just tried this approach in Recaster.

In case you’re wondering what my crypto market astrology is telling me. 1. Bitcoin is the most likely reason the whole market takes off. 2. Seems likely to happen after the current economic chaos (the administration seems determined to force the Fed to cut rates). 3. Independently, crypto legislation seems likely to pass before the midterms. Most likely to benefit from legislation is stablecoins, but still decent chance for security-commodity spectrum for digital assets framework, ie when does something become sufficiently decentralized. 4. The biggest unknown is where are the apps and will they drive use adoption. Stablecoins are mostly infra and would expect the biggest winners to be incumbents with large existing user bases. But there’s clearly opportunities for break out, novel consumer apps that can onboard users to crypto—either explicitly or (more likely) as crypto under the hood.

Stop using centralized chains. Stop letting centralized chains' builders hijack events that aren't about it. Stop giving corner to people telling you centralized chains are for everyone. If crypto is supposed to be decentralized, call out the crypto cosplay, kick out the VCs and shills who are funneling billions into the performance artists turned "founders" launching another centralized fork of the same damn chain, and start building the future.

WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH CHANNELS? 1. Channels aren’t going anywhere anytime soon 2. Our priority is growth; we’re working on a) improving onchain UX with frames + wallet (network differentiation) b) invites + rewards (increase daily actives users) c) protocol improvements to support new clients bringing their own users (increase daily actives users) d) creator onboarding (increase daily active users) 3. Channels, historically, have not driven growth; channels, however, have helped deepen engagement and retention for existing power users. 4. Given limited resources (i.e. focus), we don’t have near term plans to add features to channels. 5. However, nearly all aspects of channels are programmable via a) the protocol b) Warpcast open / free APIs. If there is demand, we may also prioritize making channel registration available API. Note: moving all channels metadata to the protocol is a lot of work that wouldn’t drive near-term growth. 1/2
