on a scale of mean to genius what do you think of setting a timer every 30 min and placing it in a separate room where you can still hear it so you're forced to get up at least every 30 min and drink water, stretch, have a snack, etc would you get super annoyed by the beeping every 30 min or would you feel 100x better anyway bc you're hydrated and well fed

Maybe this is just me but I'd get nothing done honestly I usually need to be in an uninterrupted flow state when working, especially when solving hard technical problems (which ends up being most of my day at this point) Even having meetings 1-2 hours out kills some of my productivity

I’d probably end up forgetting to the the break or reset the timer. But being hydrated is great! Sounds genius!

Hm, well I am also autistic and noises can get really overwhelming for me so I think it would get to a point where I would just be mad and annoyed 🀣

I think this would be very much welcome, but the timer has to be so loud and annoying, annoying enough to disrupt your rhythm and force you to leave your comfort zone I would love this Are you working on making one ? Or is it something you think you need ?

During Covid I’d use the pomodoro timer to use the 5 min to get up to do pull ups Had to choose between jumping straight into another 25 of work or the pull ups

Would be great if this device could somehow release the smell of the snack, coffee, etc, that would certainly lure me to take the break.

i have one on my desk, ended up snoozing it mostly but even that was helpful in noting the passage of time. putting it somewhere else is a good idea

yes, pomodoro thing doesn't work to me. i'm either in a low or high energy mode. if in first, i just chill for whatever time I need to, eat, sleep, drink whatever. yet the hunger to finish the task always comes back and the second mode kicks in.
