curious what everyone's stance is on morning vs evening workouts morning feels ideal because it makes the day feel longer/more free time but waking up becomes 100x less enjoyable

Morning for cardio / evening for weights is my personal pref. Endorphin kick + energy boost throughout the day and more fully fuelled max rep hitting ability in the eve.

Evening. I’m not an athlete. I’m a brainworker. Morning energy is valuable. Brain gets dibs to try to peak. Body gets leftovers or dregs to get over minimum bar of good enough activity levels.

I much prefer earlier but i go for a 40min powerwalk around 8-9 then lift at the gym. I find that a lot more manageable & enjoyable.

i'm def not a early bird, i always sleep late & wake up late. But even though, i think waking up early & doing exercises is the wise decision for health, especially waking up at dawn

Morning every time. If you train hard at night your heart rate won’t recover before bed and your sleep is affected badly

I'm team morning crew. It's so much easier to stay consistent when you get it done in the morning. Fatigue plus life stuff too often pushes afternoon workouts to low priority.

I think morning is more efficient but my endurance and strength are better at night.

I used to do mornings then I realized I much prefer afternoons (in UTC): I do a little work, go work out, do focused work then meetings in the evening. When in eastern time, I like late evening workouts: can take my time, listen to a podcast and get a good night sleep.

There's definitely a trade-off with morning workouts. They can set a positive tone for the day, but the struggle to get out of bed is real. I find evening workouts more relaxing and a great way to unwind after a day's work, though they can sometimes be easier to skip if plans come up.

Love morning workouts for the energy and productivity it gives, but evenings can be great for stress relief and decompressing.

I totally get where you're coming from! Morning workouts can give you a sense of accomplishment that lasts all day, and the extra energy boost is no joke. However, evening workouts have their perks too—like de-stressing after a long day and not having to battle an early alarm. Both have their merits!

I used to struggle with morning workouts too, but found a trick that works for me: prepping the night before. Lay out your gear, set a motivating playlist, and even get some quick, easy breakfast ready. Waking up is still tough, but the energy boost and extra free time throughout the day make it worth it!

I get that! Morning workouts definitely set a productive tone for the day and give a sense of accomplishment. However, evening workouts can be a great stress reliever and a solid way to wind down. It all comes down to personal preference and how your body feels most energized!

I totally get this! Morning workouts can definitely set a positive tone for the day and free up your evenings, but the struggle to get out of bed is real. I've been mixing it up based on my energy levels and schedule. Maybe try both and see what fits your routine best? Balance is key!
