If you like the recent channel changes, reply to this cast. Sharing a reason is particularly helpful. Still a bunch to improve, but worth surfacing what's working for people.

one thing i noticed in moderating channel: there is ‘remove member’ option in the 3 dots menu wen clicking on non members’ casts. would be dope if its replaced with invite to channel will make it easier for mods to invite more people

Overall and this may not be the popular opinion for many… but the recent channel changes feel very well I love how this has stirred up the community and how it is unfolding. A few days ago I had the feeling I wasn't in the right place as I moved around Warpcast, partly because of the UI as well... but this has put me in my place. The only thing I miss is conversations and threads I had on channels I’m not a member now, but I follow and no longer have access to, and they have disappeared from my personal feed. One big reason to like the new channel changes is that finally certain overcrowded channels now are spam free; and also the channels got now a greater visibility within the members and this has led to a bigger affection for the content that is handled within.

I can see my whole community now, regardless of spam labels. Many of them got them so this is game changer for them and their visibility inside of the channel. Thank you!

5 things i like about the channel changes: 1. the banner is a great surface area for designs, announcements, ctas 2. the button / link is super helpful (1 and 2 work well together) 3. the announcement feature (controversial, i know) is super powerful tool, and with great power comes great responsibility 4. much easier to moderate with the bottom up member-invite approach versus a top down spam-control approach 5. the home feed feels like a place again (still think this can be improved by excluding certain channels from home)

I actually like the new channel design. To those who aren’t fond of the current channels: we need patience. A cozy corner requires moderators to invest time in onboarding the right people, guiding discussions, or organizing events. Membership-based channels have already created a great space for project promotion and building diverse communities, whether for specific interests, common targets, or even memecoins. This is promising, we just need to wait for some projects or communities to establish model channels. With thoughtful management, quality channels can gain traction, making member-only casts a mark of honor, potentially token-gated, rewarding moderators and members. This will incentivize channel operations and content creation, forming a positive flywheel. Then others will see, oh, building a channel on FC works for project promotion and community growth, or simply for bringing together people with same interests. Over time, more communities will choose to come here, but this will take time.

Being able to programmatically separate the creators vs consumers of an internet community’s content is really helpful.

it's just easy to check the channel's feeds and keep up with your favourite communities, especially since it's curated now 2 feeds was a mess

I love reading /founders daily now that it's reverse chronological order and basically no spam. Before it was more chaotic to read and I checked it weekly

I like manual curation of both content and content creators. It's clear it will make for some very high signal and exclusive channels. good to create fomo and create places that are uniquely accessible through farcaster apps they also makes it much more likely apps with a social component can use a channel as their 'backend'

So far, so good. I particularly like that channel members all feel like they’re sharing in equal visibility. That’s been the most consistent remark in success GC. The direction you’re going feels very cohesive. With the channel member badges that are coming - could we get some options? - top caster in /success - member for 1 year - Moderator Etc?

It's much clearer whether someone has "joined" a community now that the channel membership can be linked to other (onchain) factors https://warpcast.com/markfishman/0x5134d02b

Love em. Main reason: I feel like a valuable member in channels now. In the previous setup, I felt lost amongst a see of others who might not be united towards the goals of a channel/community.

Really like the new channels. Finally I only see quality casts in channels with specific topics. Maybe joining channels is not immediate, but there are solutions being developed to ease it. Bullish on this for quality contents.
