maybe i'm an outlier, i don't have push notifications on for anything after reading a few books and designing many social apps myself 🥲 it's not a warpcast thing, it's a me thing

I don't really turn them on for anything. I control when I get notfis. Go into FC when I want them. Don't want notis dominating my day and distracting.

I don’t have notifications on for anything unless it’s a time sensitive thing. I do have notifs on for Twitter, as some accounts there do share time sensitive information - yapster is a recent example. I don’t see many accounts sharing such kind of info here that requires me to have notifs on. Onchain gaias at that time led me to turn on notifs. But nothing after that.

I don't have the mobile app, just using Warpcast on desktop browser. I used Android Studio to run the Warpcast app in an emulator for initial login. Rationale: Don't want social media on a phone, as it leads to doomscrolling for longer periods than intended.

FWIW: Warpcast’s super granular toggle buttons for Push Notifications is a favorite feature of mine. I bet more would choose to use this by default if they knew how powerful the controls are.

I don’t want push notifications for likes and recasts. I only want notifications for replies/comments because I can engage with those. Can’t engage with the others. I look at them in the list, but they aren’t as important as talking to another human. Connections come from comments. Not likes.

I briefly turned them on, then turned them off. I would pick up my phone and have 20 Super group chat notifications. I also don't feel the need to be actively engaged in my social media - I prefer to come back, catch up, and then move on.
