Today it was brought to my attention by @afrochicks that a great tragedy has occurred on the Warpcast client. Much like the rapture, the best among us have been taken elsewhere. Today, without warning, we lost the vast majority of our followers (on Warpcast only). To @v they were just bots, but to many of us, they were family. They came with fascinating PFPs, held diverse interests, spoke various languages and worshipped different gods. They were often a nuisance. But they were our nuisance. I, like many of you, didn’t get a chance to say a proper goodbye, and this will haunt me forever. Jewish people are obligated to bury their dead within 24 hours, and as a follower of the faith, this Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, I will be holding a memorial for Farcaster’s bots. Please leave your favorite anecdotes, memories and screenshots here in this thread, so that we can remember them in our hearts, together, as a community.

Dogs are so funny. I could tell this little rat wasn’t feeling well (because I’m his mom, duh). He just got his yearly vaccines and had a bad reaction. My other dog isn’t like this at all, but when Dobby is sick, he follows me around from room to room right under my feet. It’s the only time his tail isn’t aggressively wagging. He’s like a little human. Sometimes when he has to vomit, he’ll come running to you, demanding to be held. He recently vomited all over my husband’s jacket. Once his leg was injured and he refused to walk at all. We brought him down to pee, carrying him in his carrier (we were afraid of making it worse by carrying him in our arms), he took one step out of the carrier, peed and then turned around and got back in. His leg was actually fine. He’s just really dramatic. I’ve never had such a needy little dog. Anyway, I think it’s cute and funny and thought you might have similar dog stories to share. I love these little creatures.

✨🍬🍭Any time I go to the doctor, I stop by one of the Asian supermarkets nearby (my doctor’s office is in one of Madrid’s unofficial Chinatown neighborhoods) and treat myself to a little haul. Like most Asian specialty markets, they know that the best way to make any money these days is to sell Japanese candy to predominantly white K-pop teens, and have adapted accordingly. Today I needed a little joy in my life, so I mostly went for products in Kawaii packaging. 🎀🌸💖 1. Coconut milk smoothie 2. Lipton Peach Oolong Tea flavored popcorn (China) 3. Onigiri (I always get these, this one wasn’t very good). 4. SpongeBob Grape Pocky (China)

💗 appreciation post 💗 I am overwhelmed beyond belief with the outpouring of kindness I’ve received since I made my funemployment announcement yesterday. I received so many inquiries from companies looking to hire a SMM I was forced to actually get organized and start a spreadsheet. I’m exhausted but I’m so thankful to have found such a supportive community. Did @dwr.eth and @v create Farcaster’s most powerful onboarding tool? @crunnella joined on Saturday night and hit us with a really crazy story about drinking breast milk straight from the source. Then she amassed over 200 followers and climbed up the leaderboard, ending this rewards cycle in spot #34. Other web3 apps, take note. This is how you do it.
