Walletbeat now checks whether a wallet warns about scam apps or contracts or when sending funds to unknown recipients. Raising the bar.

As Walletbeat's attributes and wallets grow, the volume/noise of the main page gets overwhelming. That's also a problem for mobile, and harder to communicate vs "Rollups, please proceed to stage 2". Some UI mockups on this (Figma? What's that?): https://github.com/fluidkey/walletbeat/issues/79#issuecomment-2705636472

Only very loosely related to crypto vs normies: It appears Reddit has removed "Cryptocurrency" on its default sidebar options...? When did that happen?

You use Chrome. Imagine for a moment that Chrome sent ๐™š๐™ซ๐™š๐™ง๐™ฎ ๐™๐™๐™‡ ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช ๐™ซ๐™ž๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™š๐™™ to Google. That would be outrageous, right? web3 is about doing better than this. Well, what if your wallet did the very same thing? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Privacy is normal, and writing code is not a crime. Amazing it took this long, but glad this is happening.

gm One of the upcoming attributes for Walletbeat is whether wallets integrate with immutable frontend technology. IPFS and/or ERC-6860 for web apps, or bundled fully-local frontends. Probably more options out there, but need to get off zero. https://x.com/LefterisJP/status/1894785187906789627

The question I submitted to the EF AMA: In the EF's mission of making the Internet better, how should it approach the necessary integration work so that Ethereum becomes part of the broader Internet? Things like ENSโ†”DNS integration, IPFS support in browsers, JavaScript support for p2p gossip, .eth as a TLD, advocacy within Internet standards bodies (IANA, W3C). For example we don't have a seat at the table of the W3C Web Payments group, and as a result they're not considering any crypto payment options for standardization in browsers. As another recent example, the recently-spec'd Passkeys credential exchange protocol doesn't feature permissionless export, something which would have been an obvious requirement had there been more crypto-type thinkers in the room. Do you think the EF has a role to play here? https://old.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/1iw8ln8/ama_we_are_ef_research_pt_13_25_february_2025/meel946/
