(you got to bear this non stop parenting casts from me for a few months) I am finding it hard to soothe the baby to sleep after a feed. He is well fed - but still gets fussy - wanting something more. Holding him on my chest or shoulder and gently rocking him isn’t soothing him like it used to the first couple of weeks. Any tips/techniques that could help me here? Currently trying some white noise sounds, and trying to keep it calm and not too much light. Used a pacifier a couple of times - but hesitating using it frequently.

What are the best tech/gadgets (not toys) that you found most useful when you had a newborn? Snoo has been super useful for me so far. Nanit Pro also seems like a great buy. What others can you swear by that helped you get through these initial few months?

what is the consensus on screen time for babies? not relevant for my 2 week old right now, but i am trying to learn what should we do as he gets older. is there research/material that goes deeper into this? also appreciate any personal experiences you can share on what worked and what did not...etc.

Holy shit. My wife and MIL have been looking after the baby from evening to mid night. We just changed those shifts in anticipation of me going back to work next week. Just experienced likely what they have been calling cluster feeding which he has been doing at this time of the day. Jfc, how much milk does a little 2 week old tummy drink. Wasn’t prepared at all for this. Was thinking I was doing quiet well the other times of the day when he has been relatively peaceful. Game just leveled up. I gotta up my game too tomorrow.

I am thankful that we moved away from the meta of betting on number of likes, mints, daily token price changes etc. It’s one of my least favorite things to come out of this network.

I have a feeling that the entire crypto community being up in arms about OpenSea’s Wells Notice is not being intellectually honest in their assessment of this suit. If Opensea indeed got sued for all NFTs on their platform, perhaps this anger is justified. But if they are pointing to specific NFTs used to raise capital with daisy promises/disclosures, I am hoping those will be litigated. I am not even seeing anyone asking these questions. Everyone blanket casting/tweeting how outrageous it is that they may be coming after creators/artists, when the core issue may not even be that.

What is FC’s take on cholesterol. My LDL is high. Total is high - 220, 160, 200 - my last three total readings. Conflicting research indicating high LDL isn’t necessarily bad. Even my doctor says - for these numbers in the past we would put you on statins - but now it’s debatable. Nevertheless he said he can prescribe a low grade statin. Don’t plan to take it yet. But I am a bit conflicted.

Realized LLMs/Self driving are perfect if you have a newborn. Your brain is already half not working. You need someone to just tell you what to do or just do it for you.
