In Frames v2:

1. Everything is a frame

2. You can call a frame via a "context" -- the feed, DC, a dedicated my frames screen, or a menu in a cast or composer

3. Frames also move from ephemeral experiences to something that can be added by a user to their client for quick access. This should significantly improve retention.

4. Frames also move to being a web app—nearly anything you can build in a browser, you should be able to build in a frame.

5. And we're adding a new developer primitive: notifications. Rather forcing a developer to send a Direct Cast that might end up in the Requests inbox, we're allowing developers to send notifications to users main notification feed (and the user has full control to opt in / out).

6. Finally, Frames v2 will improve the UX and reliability of onchain transactions.

What explains COIN price action considering how the crypto markets is ripping?

Some of you are alright, but all you coin shillers in the replies to this need to chill. 

I doubt - and hope not - the figuring out part here has to do with coins specifically.  

But more to do with easy enablement of crypto native things through a programmable social network. 

Clanker is a great example of that.

Onboard influential people to @anoncast and see it become one of the most interesting things to ever happen to social media.

I say this to myself when my 3 month old vomits occasionally after/during his feed.

Think Merkle has to maniacally focus on onboarding the entire crypto community onto farcaster.

Not being on farcaster shouldn’t be optional. They may be using other platforms, but they have a presence here. 

Be the Facebook or Instagram of crypto. 

Building blocks to expand into other domains exist, for example: channels - but focus on crypto only.

i'm not a vibes guy, but you gotta admit, these are some of the most classy, iconic branding you can possibly get. simple and timeless.

you may not know, but this was the start of it all.

In retrospect, decentralized social network has been terrible framing for Farcaster.

Two recent frames that are better:

1. Farcaster is an economy — social network + crypto wallets, small but high GDP per capita, h/t @woj.eth @luc 

2. Programmable social — X APIs are dead, Farcaster APIs are constantly getting better, h/t @six 

It's still (mostly) decentralized under the hood, but lean into the things that it's really good at relative to the competition.

Was just thinking about it this morning on my way to work.

"Programmatic social" seems to be a much better framing for farcaster. 

And also was remembering that it was @betashop.eth who first framed it this way.

From woj launching superanon to the emergence  of anoncast - it has been a fascinating story.

experience from multiple crypto cycles:

when a new meta arises, first things do matter. almost everything after that does not. 

don’t keep chasing every thing. wait for a new meta, and be early. or just double down on the firsts.

so in the beginning it was all Christian rap LinkedIn cringe SV startup hustle slop. You’d like it. Very fed. Basically had to beg them to add a channel dedicated to degen stuff but that’s beside the point. so then they had a bunch of growth and retention wasn’t there and the market tanked so post farcon things got quieter. but then someone created an anon parody account of one of the founders and people remembered that anon accounts can be fun so there were a bunch of copycats but most of them weren’t funny. I guess at some point woj decided that his entire client could be one of those accounts so he launch superanon but because Christian rap he could doxx you if you were an ass. but because everyone on Farcaster signs everything with cryptographic keys someone created a zero knowledge version of the anon account that can’t be doxxed. oh and the rival group anon accounts have rival memecoins.

strap in for this dan arc. going to get wild.
