Since getting this CO2 meter, I’ve found there’s a high correlation with being unfocused and/or irritable with 800+ readings. Reminder to get some fresh air, open the window, etc.

Wow, super cool to see new metrics like that. I don’t have numbers for it but another tip: if you find yourself very productive at a coffee house or library, often it’s the chair and desk they set up. Sometimes if it’s good enough, you can just note down the brand and buy your own. Copy the ergonomics.

After getting an Airthings View Plus, my new enemy is lawnmower noise, since our windows are always open and landscapers trim grass for hours at a time, almost daily

Never heard of this. I was a fan of Awair for humidity but they discontinued the device and pivoted to enterprise 😅 How's their app? https://apps.apple.com/us/app/aranet-home/id1392378465?platform=iphone

Maybe a dumb question but would getting a few plants for a room help lower that number materially?

This is one of my favourite facts, and it’s so overlooked. In the astronaut Scott Kelly’s biography Endurance he writes about how constantly they had to repair the CO2 filter in the ISS and the effects high CO2 had in the crew and himself.

Love it. Use it where you sleep too! Also, you may be surprised that VOCs (found in colognes and many household products) can have a similar effect on us as CO2. Highly recommend checking out the science on this stuff in common products at ewg.org

Can confirm. Been using this device for a few years. Originally I got it to help me quantify ventilation in the midst of COVID.
