Since getting this CO2 meter, I’ve found there’s a high correlation with being unfocused and/or irritable with 800+ readings. Reminder to get some fresh air, open the window, etc.

Maybe a dumb question but would getting a few plants for a room help lower that number materially?

No - you'd need to absolutely fill your room with houseplants, floor to ceiling, to have any measurable difference in CO2. Ventilating is your best bet to keep things as low as possible
