All BMW Skytops with the “most powerful V8 engine” are already sold out, the car was tested at the Nurburgring
The car, which will be released in a limited edition of only 50 units, is equipped with a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 engine producing 625 hp. According to the performance data, this is the “sunniest V8 engine”. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes just 3.3 seconds, and the engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The design of the Skytop is inspired by the BMW 507 Roadster and Z8 models: the two-door coupe is distinguished by clear body lines, ultra-thin headlights, a glowing radiator grille and narrow Blade taillights. The interior is designed in a retro style with an emphasis on luxury: the interior is made using red-brown leather, the iDrive system retains the classic design.
The BMW Skytop, priced at around $500,000, will be delivered to owners by the end of 2025. 0 reply

Attention, BMW drivers: 2025 3, 4, 5 Series, and X3 models are being recalled for an urgent reason
BMW has announced an urgent recall of 4,397 2025 model year vehicles in the United States. The reason is a possible weakening of the connection between the starter-generator and the battery in the mild-hybrid system.
The recall affects 3-, 4-, 5-Series sedans and the X3 crossover, manufactured from October 2024 to March 2025. According to NHTSA, the malfunction can lead to a sudden loss of power, engine stalling, or even overheating with the risk of fire.
The campaign starts on May 23. Owners will be offered free replacement or repair of problematic components. The manufacturer urges you to take the notification seriously - it's about road safety. 0 reply

BMW M5 did not even make it into the top three. The best-selling cars of the BMW M division have been named
In 2024, the BMW M division achieved a new record, selling 206,587 cars, which is 2.1% more than the previous year.
This result includes both full-fledged M models and M Performance cars. Among all cars sold, the electric BMW i4 M50 was the leader for the third year in a row, but in the segment of "purebred" M versions, the BMW M2 (G87) took first place.
The BMW M2 became the most popular model among real M cars. The BMW M3 and BMW M4 took second and third place. The new BMW M5 (G90 and G99), sales of which began only in November, did not make it into the top three, which is explained by the late start and a higher price compared to other models.
In total, BMW sold 66,805 full-fledged M cars in 2024, which is 8% more than in 2023. Demand for the BMW M2 increased by 64% after the Life Cycle Impulse update. 0 reply

BMW production has resumed in Russia: no new brands or fraud - everything is honest
The author assembled batches of BMW X5 and X6 from the remaining components, with a total of several dozen cars. Thus, judging by everything, the Kaliningrad plant is preparing for the return of the Bavarians, who may demand the return of their property.
Recall that the cars were officially presented back in 2023. In the States, the 2024 X5 was priced at $65,200 (about 6 million rubles), and the X6 - $73,900 (6.9 million rubles).
Note that now the X5 and X6 are presented only with electric installations. The base modifications acquired an electric add-on in the form of a 48-volt starter-generator, and the top-end M60i is equipped with a new V8 4.4 unit (530 hp, 750 Nm), which was presented on the X7 M60i xDrive. 0 reply
