BMW quickly moved from concept to real model: BMW Skytop with “most powerful V8 engine” is already driving on the streets

BMW is already testing the latest BMW Skytop on the streets of Munich. The car, created on the basis of a concept car, is equipped with a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

According to the manufacturer, this is “the most powerful V8 engine”. Presumably, this is the same 4.4-liter 625-horsepower engine that is used in the M8 Competition. It is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. The edition is limited to 50 units, and they have already sold out at a price of about $540,000.

The Skytop's design is inspired by the BMW 507 Roadster and Z8 models: the two-door coupe features sharp body lines, ultra-thin headlights, a glowing grille and narrow Blade taillights.

Deliveries of the exclusive coupe will begin by the end of 2025.
