Yes. As Tom Ford said, it’s your job to consume everything from the finest art to the trashiest reality tv to understand culture so you know where your business and brand fit. Consume across all niches.

absolutely, I think finding inspiration and ideas from as many sources as possible is extremely important if you want to build something unique and not just copy/paste what other founders have done. recent books: Dilla Time, The Creative Act, Shoe Dog fashion and creative publications are also a good source of inspo

yes. I actively try to get new ideas by consuming entirely new categories, e.g. french poems, Kafka, etc. Works wonder

Not a big trash TV person so that’s gone and if it’s not content about crypto, finance or startup land, I am a big tinkerer and have a background in EE so content around electronics and I like drones so content on building those. Also anything about rocket design and space always gets me…why?

I study computer science. also follow some german news sources + twitter finance accounts, watch sports related highlights and some games. Also general tech stuff I am interested in. ~once a month I may rewatch an old movie I like. some Counter Strike also. Thats about it though. Also Social Media in general

Yes but it is compartmentalized as this is decompression, distressing activity. And quite limited. eg podcasts on variety of topics, silly youtube video etc
