Things I’ve learned about the VR generation as we build Throwback Studios: 1) make it free 2) they don’t know how to use keyboards because of iPads (unless they’re PC gamers) 3) they don’t really know how to use URLs, they search instead 4) VR is a tool to become famous

Built a drone in Derby VR that’s controllable from iPhone. Makes it easier to capture content and you can throw pitches. Will make it available on Test Flight soon 🤳🚀

There’s a new VR trend called “fan games”. Some VR games like Gorilla Tag have open-sourced their games so players can remix them. This is so popular that 90% of uploads to SideQuest are Gorilla Tag fan games made by teens. Some fan games make millions. I believe fan games are the future of VR gaming

The Royal Family is so bad at PR that it makes me wonder if their strategy is to be purposely bad. Like be so bad that it’s wildly entertaining, which then makes the PR actually good? I have no idea. I love it though.

A Derby VR player asked me yesterday if our goal is to go public or sell to a bigger company. It’s so crazy how interested gamers are in the business of games. I told the player that they’re the boss.
