Your body knows what it wants. What to eat, how much to eat, how much to sleep, rest, play, etc. Sensors / wearables are a psyop to make you tolerate living in conditions that flood the zone physiologically

see you in 3 years when data you've collected over a long period on your body unlocks insights that you don't even know exist today just like any other thing

Man I’m so inline with this take, but… Started wearing a whoop a couple months ago and I can’t deny that I’m treating my body better. This is the first wearable I’ve ever owned

Generally agree that people are overreliant on the data for living their daily life I think there are important diagnostic capabilities but most people don’t need to be checking a sleep score every day – the “metrics” are salient to justify charging a recurring subscription

I recognize what you’re saying and if it was literally a psyop I wouldn’t be all that surprised, but listening to one’s body and understanding its signals correctly in this overstimulating world can actually be very difficult.

i think that our bodies know what they want but the zone is flooded with chaotic artificiality, which results in people losing touch with what their body wants/needs. for those people, myself including, biometrics are a tool for grounding yourself in the reality of your body
