ill go first tipping culture is very different i don’t think as many ppl in the us have passports? innovation seems to be encouraged more in certain parts of the states than in the UK ( esp away from london) beans on toast

americans are much more open and friendly. When we spent summer in LA, all the neighbors around us came to say hi, asked us simple questions, and recommended places to go. I've been living in the UK for years, and I barely know any of my neighbors. They never say hi to me instead they avoid any eye contact. When I say hi to them they look at me like I'm a crazy person.

In regards to the arts. In the UK it is often funded for the public good, but private sales are extremely rare. In the US public art isn't a thing, but people support those living their dreams alot more. I chalk this up to different attitudes around pursuing ones dream. In the UK many people give up and don't ever begin, so they see someone else doing so and resent them. In the US the whole country is predicated on the notion of pursuing the American dream, so they often support people doing so.
