We just finished up an embedded wallet product using passkeys so know this area pretty well We found syncing issues with 1pass between desktop and mobile. Some ways to fix: In iOS settings for passwords make sure 1pass is selected and can auto fill Download latest Os version. We pinged the 1pass team.

I didn’t want to use it and it annoyed me, since I don’t use iCloud Keychain otherwise. I had to enable it and accept as a way to get it to go away, then turned it off later.

For me it started with (2) (don’t want to use iCloud Keychain) but it kept nagging me so I went through with saving a passkey in 1Password and then (1) ran into error trying to log back in.

my biggest issue with this is that I don‘t get how most of this stuff works and what its implications are. I can see becoming a user for that much later though when it has been established and thought through from a few perspectives

1. I have more than one FC name in my 1Password, and it attempted to save the passkey against the wrong 1Password entry, and so I bailed out before completing. Is there a way to re initiate the prompt, so I can test again, perhaps @v?

is there a way to check if we completed this already? i’ve looked through my iPhone settings and couldn’t find it. maybe Warpcast needs a status with last passkey set date.

3 I completed passkeys but used my default third party password manager. I can not log in using that passkey, had to revert back to used the private key to log in

I use dashlane and selected to save to icloud (which dashlane overrides), it saved, but is not usable for some reason. Now I can't remove and setup again using icloud or 1pw or any other options. I need to log in with recovery phrase each time now.

3. I would highly encourage a blog post on the specifics of how you have implemented webauthN. Better wording on the backup screen may help improve the conversion. (For those who say 2, please understand the risks of not using icloud)
