Got a DEXA scan yesterday. Using chatgpt to walk me through the results and understand the different metrics is surprisingly very useful. (Highly recommend these scans to measure muscle and body fat changes over time).

DXA is great but prone to estimation errors… if you’re lean/athletic then it tends to overstate your body fat % ref: https://journals.lww.com/nsca-jscr/fulltext/2020/06000/body_composition_assessment_in_male_and_female.23.aspx

How’d you go about finding a place to get one? I feel like these tests (DEXA, biomarkers, etc.) are all over the place

curious what it said? and how you’re using the results? as a physician i only order them to look for osteoporosis but have seen a big uptick in people wanting them to learn more about body fat percentage curious if this is just more data (like levels is for blood) or if it translates to anything actionable?

I was thinking of doing the same. I was also wondering if I can stack a DEXA scan with an Inside Tracker blood test to try to achieve superhuman levels of information. 😝

where'd you find a good place? naive search on Google ends up taking me to a bunch of shit (either places that don't even do DEXAs or just irrelevant links)
